The 27' Chesapeake is one of our best-selling models. Redesigned in 1999 and updated in 2005 to a 8'10" beam, this boat has become a boat class of its own. With its 45 degree dead rise entry, 7 degree stern & full length keel, this boat is one of the premier riding and handling boats available.

In addition to its superior design, we here at Judge Yachts pride ourselves in its state-of-the-art construction. The 27' Chesapeake hull is hand-laid with knitted triaxial fiberglass cloth; the top deck, pilot house and floors are cored with Nida-Core and laminated with polyester or vinylester resins. You may think this sounds like an expensive and lengthy process, but the result is a stronger boat -- actually, it is 4 times stronger than a solid laminate boat found in many other production and custom boats!

The 27' Chesapeake is well-known for its remarkable performance. This boat can travel up to 50mph. There are many options for its motor. In our experience, many fishermen (especially offshore fishermen) like the I/O jack shaft, while others may go with the diesel or gas inboards for their reliability, stability, and economics.
