Brennan Catches his Biggest Rock Ever!

Nothing like being able to be on the water in Nov and Dec with my 8 year old son knowing he will be comfortable enough to fish. He even nabbed his biggest bass to date over the Thanksgiving break. Boat has been raising a lot of fish! --Greg Shute

Caught this beauty on my new Judge!  I trailer the boat 1 ½ hours to the Patuxent River.  Launched the boat by myself.  Ran the boat 18 miles south to Buoy 82.  Set up at 12 rod spread with planer boards.  Caught my biggest rock ever!  45 3/4 inches and 35 lbs!

We were fishing on the hot dog and hooked the first one and unfortunately after 50 minutes we pulled the hook. We reset and within a few minutes we had another one on and fought it for 1 hour and 20 minutes before boating it. The tough part was for the first 30 minutes the leader was wrapped under its gill plate over its back and around its tail. We figured this out after we had no control over the fish and it actually surfaced back behind the boat and we looked at it through binocolars.

The leader was chaffed and frayed for the first six feet. We still do not know how the leader did not break. We caught it on a 50 penn -- stand up.
Fun day! -- Jerry, Mackenna Jane II

27'CHES-FISH 27'CHES-FISH2
I finally got to fish my father’s boat (2001 27 Downeast). We went eeling in the Cape May Rips. We landed a few nice stripers, bluefish and Tautog (should have landed a few more stripers but our angling skills weren’t at the top of our game as we lost a few). The boat performed wonderfully. It is a good blend of ride, stability, speed and economy. The pilothouse gave us great refuge during a rainstorm that blew up in the morning. The boat provided for a very comfortable day on the water in mid Nov! -- Greg Shute "B-Faithful"

Swordfish caught on a Judge 34'Express off Virginia's coast
Judge 34'Express SwordfishJudge 34'Express Swordfish Weigh-in
"I wanted to update you on some recent fishing activities on the "JUST RIGHT".  Captain Justin Wilson received his 50 Ton Masters License and will begin chartering soon.  We have already caught 10 Virginia State Citations for 5 different species on the boat.  The citation species were Bluefish, Triggerfish, Seabass, Rockfish and Swordfish.  There have only been a handfull of anglers that have ever caught Swordfish on rod and reel in Virginia.  Justin took 4 of his friends for an overnight Swordfish trip last week, and they boated 5 fish.  They released 4 fish and brought in one that weighed 125 pounds.  Everyone on the boat caught a fish, and none had ever been Swordfishing before.  Word spread fast in the fishing community that Justin was coming in with a Swordfish, and a large group was awaiting their arrival at the marina.  After everyone was finished checking out the fish, they checked out the boat.  Everyone was impressed with the boat and agreed that the trip was a testimonial to the confidence in the boat.  I doubt that there has been many 34' boats that have done an overnighter 78 miles offshore on the first day of winter and caught 5 Swordfish!"

Judge 34'Express Tuna   Judge 34'Express Tuna in VA Beach
Bill - I thought that you would like to see this!!!  I left the Lynnhaven Inlet at 4:00 am Sat. November 11, 2006.  I took the judge about 60 miles off of the coast of Virginia Beach, VA.  By 8:30 am we had to stop!!!! That was unfortunate for me and the crew.  The judge always calls the fish........ It was a great morning for Yellow Fin Tuna off the coast of Virginia........Thanks! -- H. Hohlrierder

"My Judge 27'Chesapeake gives me the comfort I need to be able to spend the day fishing with my son.  On other boats I was mostly worried about whether we were going to get wet and have the ability to stay dry.  I DO NOT have these worries with my Judge 27. I Just enjoy my day of fishing with my son." -- Jeff Sykes

TESTIMONIAL: "Paula and I have spent about 50 hrs. on our new 27'Chesapeake and we love it!  The boat tracks perfect when trolling for those big Rockfish and the sharp entry of the bow has allowed us to fish on some rough days!  I've attached a picture of a fish we caught on Friday in the Lewisetta, VA area.  Thanks again for a great boat! - Jerry "Mushy" Schenemann"
